Lake Taupo AttractionsLake Taupo is a favourite destination for anglers. Hire a guide to explore the area. There are great views of Taupo, the mountains and lake from the corner of SH1 and Huka Falls Road. At Four Mile Bay the lookout takes in the Tongariro National Park.
Taupo's Two Mile Bay to Four Mile Bay Walkway is an easy stroll along the lakeshore with idyllic picnic and swimming spots. The walkway continues along a terrace above the lake to Five Mile Bay.
